Website Refresh

Merit has been a long-standing client of Mitosis, making it a natural fit for a brand and website refresh. While the primary focus was launching the new website, the Mitosis team approached the project by evolving the brand and website simultaneously to ensure a cohesive outcome.

I collaborated with the team during the discovery and brainstorming phase to define the updated brand direction, including color palette, typography, and photography style. Once we aligned on the client’s vision, we moved into the website design phase. My primary responsibilities included developing homepage layouts, sourcing imagery, creating illustrated assets, contributing to staging site development and reviews, and prototyping navigation menus for A/B testing.

The final result was a refreshed, modern website designed to attract a broader audience and support Merit’s continued growth.

Project Compass

Project Compass is an outreach initiative designed to introduce kids to online safety in a fun and approachable way. Merit’s goal for this campaign was to create kid-friendly print materials—including brochures, posters, postcards, and coasters—along with a supporting landing page.

I began by developing a library of playful illustrated characters and visual elements that told a cohesive story centered on safety, fun, and exploration. Because Merit’s audience includes Hispanic communities, I also created Spanish versions of each deliverable to ensure accessibility and inclusivity. Once all materials were approved, I prepared production-ready files to ensure a seamless and efficient handoff to print vendors.

Compass Pop Up Banners

For an in-person event, Merit wanted to promote Project Compass while appealing to an adult audience. I designed three pop-up banners (2.75’ × 6.75’) that remained on brand and visually cohesive while meeting specific hierarchy and messaging requirements. I collaborated closely with the Creative Director to ensure the designs aligned with the client’s criteria and delivered final, production-ready files for print.
